PAF-CCA

Promotion of Agro Forestry for Climate Change Adaptation (PAF-CCA) has been completed in Mahawai Rural Municipality and Khandachakra Municipality of Kalikot district in financial support of Swiss Foundations via EcoHimal Austria to improve the livelihoods of rural farmers through the capacity building and awareness on plantation, ecological farming, and natural resource management practices and techniques. Replication of the AFRC initiatives in West Nepal has been effective in initiating the change in the perception of local farmers towards sustainable tree cropping. Provision of technologies and resources allocation to the local farmers is accomplished to improve their livelihoods through the adoption of appropriate locally adapted agroforestry practices.
