Participatory Rural Health Development Programme (RHDP) – Phase I (Jan 2010- Dec 2012)

RHDP- Phase I was implemented in Pawai VDC of Solukhumbu, and Bakhachol VDC of Khotang from 2010 to 2012 with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency with funds of the Austrian Development Cooperation (www.entwicklung.at). An ambitious development approach was introduced by integrating traditional and modern methods of community cooperation for improvement of the healthcare system. It was mainly focused on improving the health of rural people through an integrated approach developing agriculture and livestock systems, capacity development, and the empowerment of women. Promoting the improvement of the drinking water supply, hygiene, and sanitation were also prioritized in the project
